Barbara Theis 74, of Scranton passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3.

She was the wife of the late George Theis the couple were married for over 45 years, and he was the love of her life.

She was born in Dunmore the daughter of Marie Alfieri, and the late Vincent Alfieri.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, and Grammy. She loved spending time with her family and grandson Sammy who was her greatest joy.

She was a graduate of Dunmore high school and  prior to Barbara's retirement she was employed in her family's business.

She enjoyed spending time in her garden where every spring she would plant new flowers.

Also surviving are her children, Nicole Sandy  and husband, Sam, George Theis, grandson, Sammy, siblings, Michael Alfieri, and wife, Kathy, Anthony Alfieri, Elizabeth Bouselli, and husband, Tony, Julie Frick, and husband Bob, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was proceeded in death by a sister, Nancy Furiosi.

The funeral will be Saturday With a blessing service at 9:45 AM in the Morell-LaBelle funeral home 301 Chestnut St. Dunmore.

Interment Washburn Cemetery.
