Charlene
Luchko
September 28, 2021
Charlene Luchko 77, of Dunmore died Thursday at Geisinger CMC Scranton. She was married to the late Robert P Luchko. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on September 7 of this year. Charlene was born in Dunmore daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vavrick Sibio. She was a graduate of Dunmore high school. Prior to Charlene's retirement was employed by the Gertrude Hawk's Candy Company, she was a red coat supervisor. She was a huge football fan and could be spotted at Dunmore Bucks games or Arena football with Susan, Becky, Tom and Jason. Her favorite team was what ever ones her grandsons were playing on followed closely by the Dallas Cowboys, who couldn't hold a candle to her grandsons, but she followed them anyway. She loved finding treasure at auctions with her husband and at yardsales with Robin on the weekends. She made sure her grandchildren knew they were loved and taken care of whether it was a snack or full on meal, "I'm hungry Gigi, what do you have to eat?" Was a very common phrase. One which she truly loved hearing. Not a shopping trip was complete without stocking up on fruit for the kids because she couldn't disappoint them if they showed up at the house. "Theres always more at Gigi's " became our motto. She is survived by her three daughters Robin Luchko and husband Thomas Fritz of Dickson city, Susan Luchko and husband Allan Miller of Dunmore, and Becky Richardson and husband Jason of Dunmore grandchildren Alayna, Logan and Jake, Brothers John and Richard Sibio, a sister Diane Gleason all of Dunmore, a cousin Rev. Michael Lepa and many nieces nephews and cousins. She was also previously deceased by Brothers Joseph, Mike, Al, and Bobby, sisters Claire Boise, Ann Turasky, Josephine Coleman, Mary "Tess" Sibio, and Stella Provinzano. The funeral will be Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church 802 Taylor Ave., Scranton.
