Cynthia (Cindy) Wilga, 51, of Dunmore, born Aug. 3, 1969, in Scranton, daughter of Martha Wilga and the late Frank Wilga, Dunmore, passed away on April 23, 2021, at home peacefully in her sleep.
Cindy was a graduate of NEIU. She enjoyed spending time with her family doing arts and crafts. She especially loved shopping for bargains and going to Dunkin Donuts for her latte. She enjoyed taking walks and enjoying the outdoors, especially at Nay Aug Park. She loved scratching lottery tickets and going to all the yard sales around town. She loved visiting and playing with her great-niece, Elaina Wilga. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her sisters and a brother, Theresa Berry and husband, John (Otis); Mary Alfieri, David, Janet, Beverly Wilga; and Linda Gierulski and husband, Mark, all of Dunmore; nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Wilga, John Berry, Zack and Cody Gierulski; great-niece, Elaina Wilga; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
We would like to thank Cindy's "second family," Step by Step, for their wonderful dedication and care of our loving sister and daughter, especially Sue, Sabrina, Jim and Ryan, aka Roy.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church, Dunmore. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509. All CDC guidelines will be followed. Please wear your mask.
