Deborah "Debbie" E. Reinfurt Gibbs

Debbie Gibbs, 68, Dunmore, passed away Wednesday August 23rd, 2023, in her home.

Born in Scranton, raised in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ceil Reinfurt. Debbie graduated from Dunmore High School class of 1973 and then Penn State University Worthington Scranton Campus class of 1983 with a degree in Computer Science.

Debbie enjoyed exploring her creative side, taking many drawing and painting classes at the St. Luke's building in Scranton. She was also into NASCAR and dirt track racing, spending Saturday nights at Five Mile Point or Penn-can SpeedWay. Debbie was an avid bowler, bowling in many leagues and tournaments at Idle Hours Lanes and South Side Bowl throughout the years. She also enjoyed taking bus trips to visit the Atlantic City casinos. When she was able to, she enjoyed attending her granddaughters' softball and soccer games to watch them play.

Debbie is survived by her son Shaun and wife, Jaime, two granddaughters, Lucy and Ellie, Jessup; four sisters, Joan Butler, Sarasota, Fla.; Lois Pfaff and husband Kurt, Jamestown, N.Y.; Maryann Trecoske and husband, Art, Montrose as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Murray.
