Dolores 'Dee' Gleason

Dolores "Dee" Gleason, 77, of Dunmore, died Monday morning, Aug. 8, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. She was married to the late Dennis Gleason, who passed in 2017.
Born in Dunmore, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Vavrick Sibio. She was the youngest of 14 children.
Dee was a devoted mother, wife and aunt. She will be dearly missed.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry and by Gertrude Hawk Chocolates for many years.
She enjoyed watching her soap operas, Hallmark Christmas movies, cooking and baking with her family, and making crafts. Above all, she enjoyed her daily phone conversations with family and dear friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Molly Chafin and husband, Ryan, of Dunmore. She is also survived by her brothers, John Sibio, Francis Sibio; Richard and wife, Christine Sibio; and sisters-in-law, Jane Sibio and Bernie Sibio; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Dennis and Michael.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph and his wife, Claire; Michael, Albert and Robert; Clara and husband, Arthur Boise; Josephine and husband, Robert Coleman; Stella and husband, Peter Provenzano; Ann and husband, Ralph Turasky; Mary (Tess) Sibio; and Charlene and husband, Robert Luchko; as well as her sister-in-law, Madeline Sibio.
The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 20, in Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., Scranton.
Visitation will take place at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
