Eugene J. D'Andrea

Eugene "Gene" J. D'Andrea, 76, of Dunmore, passed away Monday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton.
Born in Scranton, son of the late James and Nellie Bagis D'Andrea, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Eugene spent the majority of his career involved in the hospitality industry, he was the manager of the Casey Hotel and later was a partner in both the Big "A" and the Smokehouse, prior to his retirement.
He is survived by a son, Eugene Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Dickson City; two daughters, Jennifer Woodward, of Romansville; and Nicole Bainbridge and husband, Andrew, of Warrington; grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicholas and Daniel D'Andrea, Matthew Jr. and Colin Woodward, Colton and Harper Bainbridge; two brothers, William, his caretaker, and Thomas, both of Scranton; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Allied Skilled Nursing and Geisinger CMC-PCU care unit for the care they gave Eugene.
Donations can be made to the Allied Skilled Nursing Center.
The funeral will be private at Eugene's request.
