Frank J. Butkiewicz
August 11, 2025
Frank J. Butkiewicz, 62, of Jermyn, passed away at his home on Monday, August 11, 2025. He was the beloved fiancé of Brenda Constantine, with whom he shared a joyful love.
Born in Scranton, Frank was the son of the late Frank and Patricia Flaherty Butkiewicz and a proud graduate of Dunmore High School, Class of 1982. He spent his career at Aventura Terrace View Nursing Home, where he was known for his kindness and hard work, often going out of his way to spend time with patients.
Frank's greatest pride and joy in life was his children. He was endlessly devoted to his son, Dylan, of Hoboken, N.J., and his daughter, Isabella, of Clarks Summit. He never missed an opportunity to cheer them on, or make them laugh with his quick wit and pranks. His kids knew—without question—that their dad loved them, and he left them with a lifetime of love, lessons, and laughter. His passing leaves a void in their lives that can never truly be filled, but also a legacy of devotion that will guide them always.
With Brenda, Frank found not only a partner but a best friend. He enjoyed spending time with Brenda and her two daughters, Erika and Kara. Their time together, while short, was memorable and filled with warmth and laughter. Their bond was a true example of love and commitment.
Frank was happiest at his family's house on Lake Winola, where his presence filled the place with joy. He loved steering the boat across the water, sitting on the dock as the sun set, or relaxing by the fire listening to music with a Rolling Rock in hand. For Frank, those moments—surrounded by family and friends—were everything. Lake Winola was more than a place—it was a state of peace, made meaningful by the people he loved most.
He is also survived by his brother, Pat of Dalton; his sister, Tara of Throop; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will miss his humor and upbeat presence.
A blessing service will be held on Friday, August 29, at 11:45 a.m. at the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
