Gary Lombardo, 63, of Throop passed on Monday due to a brief illness. He was the husband of Linda (Prevish) Lombardo,  November would have marked their 42nd wedding anniversary.

Born in Dunmore, Gary was the last born son of the late Joseph and Joan (Kerekes) Lombardo. He was the graduate of Dunmore High School. He worked at various local businesses including Scranton Tobacco, Gilarde Environmental Services, EPSCO, and Lowe's distribution center prior to his disability. He truly enjoyed cooking for his family and he was an avid nascar fan and gardener.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his three children Joseph (Jacqueline), California, Jacqueline, Throop, and Bianca (Aaron) Flegler, Wind Gap, four grandchildren, Alyssa, Jocelyn, Cecilia, and Dominic. He is also survived by brothers Joseph and Richard (Saliania) Lombardo and sister Joanne (John) Loughney. Several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and doctors at GCMC ICU and ER for the tremendous efforts in caring for Gary and his family.

Memorial contributions may be given to hospice of the Sacred Heart memorial fund.

The funeral will be Thursday with a Blessing Service at 11:30 AM in the chapel at St. Catherine's cemetery Moscow.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 AM until 11 AM at the Morell-LaBelle funeral home 301 Chestnut St. Dunmore
