Jacquelin DelVecchio, 77, of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania and former longtime Scranton resident, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024 after an illness.
Born Aug. 18, 1946 in Newark, N.J., She was preceded in death by her mother, Clare Forestin; stepfather, Dan Forestin; and also her father, Walter Winters.
Jacquelin graduated high school from Scranton Central and, before retirement, worked in the payable department of Waste Management.
Anyone who knew her loved her and she was an amazing cook. She always threw the best 4th of July parties/birthday party for her eldest daughter, and every year the families loved to attend.
Surviving are her daughters, Stacey DelVecchio and husband, James Conarton; Lori Burcheri and husband, Steven; the light in her life, granddaughter, Isabella Burcheri; a brother, Bradford Winters; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Her family would also like to mention her best friend and sister-in-law, Debbie DelVecchio and husband, Leonard and their daughter, Dawn. Thank you for all you did for her over the years. She was truly lucky to have you in her life.
A special thank you goes to the nurses at Geisinger CMC for all you did for our mom and our family during the last few days of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Jacquelin to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, South Abington Twp., Pa.
Arrangements are under the care of Morrell-LaBelle Funeral Home of Dunmore, Pa. and will be private.
