James R. Knight Jr.

James R. Knight Jr., 54, of Scranton, died Sept. 28 at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a brief illness.

Born in Dunmore, the only son of the late James Sr. and Susan Nealon Knight. James was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1986. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Peckville Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by six sons, James, Joshua, Jonathan, Jacob, Joseph and Justin; three daughters, Jessikah, Jolene and Jorja; 16 grandchildren; and several cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Justine; and his grandson, Michael.

The funeral will be Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore, starting at 10 a.m. Afterward, interment at Shady Lane Cemetery, Chinchilla.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the funeral home.
