Josephine M. Noto, a cherished resident of Dunmore, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 83. As the beloved wife of Robert F. Noto, the couple had celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last October.

Josephine was the daughter of the late Saverio and Mary (Morell) Arcieri. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1958, and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Prior to her retirement, Josephine worked as a waitress at Curry Donuts where she loved interacting with her customers.

Josephine's passion in life was her family. She loved to volunteer at school activities for her boys when they were growing up. Spending time with her family brought her so much happiness. She looked forward to every holiday and carrying on treasured traditions. Above all, Josephine adored her role as Grandma. Her grandchildren filled her heart with joy and she created a special bond with each one of them. From singing lullabies, to playing bingo, to supporting them at their activities, she enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them. Josephine loved trips to Disney World and memories of her favorite attractions of Small World and Little Mermaid will always be remembered.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Robert and wife, Mary Kay, of Dunmore, and Thomas and wife, Gina, of Eynon, along with her beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Julia, Kaylie, TJ, Cara and Michael. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josephine was preceded in death by her brothers, Vince and Frank; and sister, Philomena Arcieri.

A private service to honor Josephine's life was held on Saturday, March 30 at Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home with her husband, children and their families.
