Lilyann Tomarelli Faris, 65, of Scranton died Monday, March 24, 2025 at Hospice of the Sacred
Heart in Dunmore. Lilyann met her husband, Carl, at S & S Amusements when they were just
teenagers and were married for over 45 years. She was born September 6th, 1959 in Scranton.
She attended Scranton Tech and worked diligently for 20 years as a department head at
Gertrude Hawks Chocolates amassing many memories and friends before retiring due to illness.
She will be most remembered as a woman devoted to her family. She spent her life dedicated to
providing all she could for her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed family time at
Gouldsboro State Park, playing bingo, and creating wonderful holiday memories and meals.
She was well known for her homemade Holiday cookies and her dollies, some of which were
graciously gifted to the wonderful nursing staff at Regional Hospital, Scranton. She was a loving
and caring member of the Green Ridge community and often opened her home to anyone in
need. She was a devout parishioner of St. Paul's Parish and she cared for others deeply until
the very end and she will be missed tremendously.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marilyn and Chester Tomarelli, both of Scranton.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Faris, of Scranton, her daughter Jennifer Woytach and
husband Robert Woytach and their son Anthony Woytach and fiancé Althea Goble, of Dunmore.
Her second daughter, Sara Faris and children Asia Marie and Aaliyah Juliet Jalil, of Scranton.
Her son Michael Faris and his wife Christina Faris and sons Luke and Samuel Faris, of Old
Forge. Her second son Brian Faris, of Olyphant. She is also survived by her brother Joseph
Tomarelli and his wife Peggy Tomarelli, of Ocean Pines, Maryland, her brother Michael
Tomarelli and his late wife Korine, of Scranton, and her sister Christine Biel, and fiancé Richard
Wacker, of Scranton. The Funeral will be held Friday, April 4 with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul's Church , 1510 Penn Ave,
Scranton at 10:30am.
