Obituary

Margaret A. Glinsky, of Sarasota, Florida, died Nov. 8, 2020, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Born in Jessup, she was the daughter of the late Frank Loftus and Margaret Cawley Loftus. She was educated at Marywood Seminary in Scranton, and Temple University, School of Pharmacy, in Philadelphia, where she received her degree in pharmacy. Margaret was proud to be a pharmacist for 42 years. She was the co-owner with her husband, Tom Glinsky, of Glinsky's Drug Store in Honesdale, and co-owner of Burke's Pharmacy, in the Green Rridge section of Scranton, with Kathy Burke. After she sold her store, she worked in Leonard's Pharmacy, Scranton. She was a member of the Lackawanna County Pharmacy Association, where she was honored for her 42 years as a pharmacist.
She grew up in Jessup, and then after she was married, moved with her husband to Honesdale, where she raised her three children. Upon retirement, she moved to Sarasota, Florida, and enjoyed 19 years there.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lea and Steve Andersen, of Reno, Nev.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Dan Goodwin, of Honesdale; and grandson, Jack Goodwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Glinsky; and her son, Frank J. Glinsky.
She will be deeply missed by her friends and family and many furry friends that she babysat through the years. She was known for her love of dogs.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Moscow.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home Dunmore.
