Obituary

Margaret Kelly August 22, 2024  Margaret Kelly 91, of Pen Argyl died Thursday, August 22.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Paul Kelly, and former husband Patrick Burns. Born in Dunmore, Margaret was the daughter of the late Vito William and Florence Saracino Santarsiero.

She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and the Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing.  Prior to Margaret's retirement, she was employed by the Scranton Housing Authority. In retirement Margaret enjoyed many Bridge games with a close group of friends.  She was a skilled crocheter and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the lucky recipients of her talent. But one of her favorite things was to travel and she enjoyed many road trips with her husband Paul and overseas adventures with her daughters.

She is survived by daughters, Pat LePore of Philadelphia, Cheryl Hoffner of Cape May and Maribeth Wills of Wind Gap along with their spouses, children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lois Santarsiero, of Dunmore, their children and many nieces, nephews and cousins.   Surviving also are her stepchildren Paul and Stephen Kelly, their spouses and children and predeceased by Kevin and Michael Kelly. Margaret was a member of SS Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 7th at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Dunmore.  Visitation will be held at the Morrell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut Street from 10 to 10:45AM prior to Mass.

Interment at Mt Carmel Cemetery, Dunmore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.  Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or the donors preferred charity.
