Martha A. Wilga, 84, of Dunmore passed away Wednesday at Regional Hospital Scranton. Her husband was the late Frank Wilga, who passed away in 1998.

Born Sept. 8, 1938 daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Manley, Martha worked for Morris White, Dunmore, before becoming a stay at home mom. She was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Dunmore. She was a strong, loving and kind person with a heart of gold. She admired and greatly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her Grandma and GG.

Surviving are her children, Theresa and John Berry, Mary Ellen Alfieri, David, Janet and Beverly Wilga, Linda and Mark Gierulski, all of Dunmore; grandchildren, John (fiancée Licia Olivetti) Berry, Kaitlyn Wilga, Zack and Cody Gierulski, all of Dunmore; great-grandchildren, Elaina and Nico Wilga; three sisters, Marlene Wilga, Rudi Brace and Estelle Bridges, all of Dunmore.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Wilga; and brothers, Russell and James Manley.

The funeral will be Monday 9:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Mary Church, Dunmore. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
