Mary Fuller, 79, passed away peacefully at home on September 9th, surrounded by her daughter and long time family friend, Tom. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 49 years, Richard.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late George "Mike" and Helen Capp Russell.

Mary attended Dunmore schools and worked as a hairdresser and bookkeeper when she wasn't being a stay at home mom to her daughter.

Mary enjoyed traveling with her family, especially on cruises, going out for "spare ribs and French fries," putting together jigsaw puzzles and loved nothing more than Christmas and decorating her home beautifully for the holiday. Mary also loved Sunday bingos and trips to the casino, as well as cooking, baking and canning produce and sauces, all with her daughter, Mary Ann. Her other joy was spending time with her beloved friend, Biddy, whom she always looked forward to seeing.

Mary is survived by her only daughter, Mary Ann, Dunmore. Along with her husband and parents, Mary is preceded in death by her, sister, Ann, and son in law, John.

Mary was a devout Catholic and faithful parishioner of Saints Anthony and Rocco Parish, and looked forward to volunteering at their festival each August. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM, Wednesday, September 17th. Interment will be private at a future date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 16th, from 5-7 PM.
