Pattie Lou Hoban, 88, of Dunmore died early Tuesday morning at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore surrounded by her family. Pattie Lou and her husband Frank celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary in October of this year.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude Quinn Weismer, Pattie Lou was a graduate of St. Paul School; she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Prior to Pattie Lou's retirement, she was involved in the family business, Hoban's School Supply and Furniture Company; she also worked as a comptometer operator for the Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P) and volunteered at the Catherine McAuley Center.

She is survived by her three children, Frank and wife, Cindy, Dunmore; Michael, and wife, Samantha, Waverly; and Erin Paciotti, and husband, Lou, Dunmore; grandchildren, Colleen Davis, Louie Paciotti, Megan Johnson, Kristen Taffera, Christina Smolley, Frankie and Matthew Hoban, Melissa Erskine, Brennan, Fred, Sarah and Emily Hoban; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Colleen; and a sister, Mary Kay Weismer.

The funeral will be Saturday in St. Mary's of Mount Carmel Church, 322 Chestnut St., Dunmore, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Morell – LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore. Those who are planning on attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church.
