Paul William Blottner, age 67, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 in White Plains, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 2, 1956 in Alexandria, Virginia, the son of William Eugene Blottner and Nannie Scott Blottner.
Paul joined the Church of Bible Understanding (formerly the Forever Family) at the age of 17 and remained a member until his death. During his tenure with COBU, Paul was instrumental in running their Christian Brothers Cleaning Co., Inc. which was the inspiration for a Seinfeld episode. He was also a manager at their current business, Olde Good Things, an architectural antique dealer. Paul was God-loving, extremely intelligent and had a wry sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene Blottner and Nannie S. Blottner; and is survived by his sister Mary G. (Blottner) McCarthy and brother-in-law James F. McCarthy of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; his brother Mark E. Blottner and partner Grace F. Kierna of Chicago, Illinois; nephews Sean P. McCarthy (Colleen Bement) and Brendan D. McCarthy; great-nephew Colin J. Bement-McCarthy; aunt Myra Blottner; cousins Laura Elliott, Cheryl Papiernik, William Scott and Emily Scott; and all his brothers and sisters from COBU.
Paul will be missed by all his family and friends.
