Robert P Luchko 79, of Dunmore died Tuesday at Geisinger CMC Scranton. He was married to the late former Charlene Sibio. The couple had celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on September 7 of this year. Robert was born in Dunmore the son of the late George and Ann Zack Luchko. He was a graduate of Dunmore high school, and a graduate of Johnson Technical Institute with a certification in welding. He served as a reservist for the United States Army and was ordered into active duty during Desert Shield/Desert Storm where he rose to the rank of sergeant. After serving his country he was employed at 5 Star Equipment in Dunmore as a diesel technician. Bob loved fishing and hunting and going to Auctions with his wife Charlene. He played watchful guardian to his grandchildren, whether it was a watchful eye while they played in the street or it was making sure they had a place they could come over to when they were scared. He truly loved hearing "Hi Pop pop" and it always brought a smile to his face. He loved being a retired Pop pop sitting on his porch watching the kids He is survived by his three daughters Robin Luchko and husband Thomas Fritz of Dickson City, Susan Luchko and husband Allan Miller of Dunmore, and Becky Richardson and husband Jason of Dunmore, Grand children Alayna, Logan and Jake, a cousin Rev. Michael Lepa and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also previously deceased by a brother George The funeral will be on Wednesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church 802 Taylor Ave., Scranton. Interment Dunmore cemetery with full military honors. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Tuesday 4 PM to 8 PM at the Morell – LaBelle funeral home 301 Chestnut St. Dunmore .
