Robert F Noto

October 22, 2025

Robert F "Bob" Noto, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 90. Bob was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Cottone Noto. He graduated from Saint Paul's High School in 1953 and later attended the University of Scranton where he earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology in 1957.

In 1966, Bob opened a Harley -Davidson shop on Hickory Street in Scranton, which later became known as Electric City Harley -Davidson. His love of motorcycles helped him grow a successful family business, and with it many lifelong friendships. Even after retirement, one could always find Bob wearing his Harley T-shirt and suspenders. Bob was a man who found joy in life's simple, honest pleasures. Whether he was casting a fishing line, on a hunting trip, or tending to his garden under the summer sun, Bob had a way of finding peace and purpose in nature. As a dog lover, Bob had many loyal companions throughout his life, especially his dearest beagle, Cindy.

A life, long learner and avid reader, Bob believed that every day offered something new to discover. He inspired those around him with his curiosities, stories, and gentle wisdom. Bob had a deep and abiding faith in God and lifelong devotion to the Blessed Mother. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish. Above all else, Bob loved his family. He and his wife Josephine celebrated 53 years of marriage and together raised two sons, Robert and Thomas. he was a proud grandfather, always ready with a warm hug and an encouraging word. His grandchildren were his greatest joy, and his legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in each of them. Bob was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Josephine, and his sister, Ann Reilly. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Robert and wife, Mary Kay, of Dunmore, and Thomas and wife, Gina of Eynon, along with his grandchildren, Zachary, Julia, Kaylie, T.J., Cara and Michael. A private service to honor Bob was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Morell-LaBelle funeral home to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and deeply loved. The family asked that you honor his memory by spending time outdoors, reading a good book, or learning something new—- just as he did every day.
