Salvatore Nicholas DeAngelo Jr., Dunmore, PA passed away at home on October 5, 2023. Known affectionately as Sam, he was born in Scranton, PA on June 20, 1949. The son of the late Salvatore and Agnes (Stedina) DeAngelo, Sam grew up in Dunmore and was a 1967 graduate of Dunmore Central Catholic High School. He was a US Navy Veteran who served as a radar operator on the USS Donner. He was recently retired from Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply where worked as a route supervisor for many years. He was an avid fan of Penn State football and NASCAR, and enjoyed story-telling and the company of others. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Joseph, and a brother John. He is survived by three daughters: Melissa Keating of Elmhurst Township and her husband Thomas; Rebecca of Dunmore, Lisa DeAngelo Lamb of Holland, PA and her husband John; two grandchildren: Madison DeAngelo Lamb and Connor Michael Lamb; three brothers: Michael DeAngelo and his wife Aurora, Charles "Weaver" DeAngelo and his wife Kris, Vincent DeAngelo and his wife Ann Marie, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A private funeral service will be held at the DeAngelo family plot in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dunmore on October 18th.
