Teresa Iannielli

Teresa Iannielli 84, of Dunmore, died Friday morning at Green Ridge Health Care Center. She was the widow of Vito Iannielli, who died in 1986.

Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Patyk Casarella. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and was a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish. Before her retirement, she was employed at the former Northeastern Bank and, along with her husband, operated Iannielli's Market in Dunmore for many years.

Teresa was a member of and volunteered for many local organizations including the San Andreas Society, St. Joseph's Center, the Everhart Museum, Lackawanna Blind Association, the Theresians and was a staunch supporter of the University of Scranton.

She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas (Kristen) of Dunmore, and Frank (Dana) of Huntersville, North Carolina; two grandsons, Vittorio and Chase; brother-in-law, Donato Iannielli (Carol); nieces, great-nieces and nephews, as well as several cousins.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Green Ridge Health Care Center and Allied Hospice, especially Dan Reilly, for their wonderful care and compassion.

The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony and Rocco Church, 303 Smith St., Dunmore. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery.

Friends make call Tuesday from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at the Morell-LaBelle Funeral Home, 301 Chestnut St., Dunmore.
